Dock gates closed
Some sunshine at last. It has been very stormy in recent days, with gale force winds overnight.
25 black-headed gulls on the water in the dock basin
10 black-headed gulls along the top of the dock gate
1 cormorant fishing in the dock basin
There is a melanistic blackbird hanging around the flowerbeds next to the lock, it has a quite large white patch on its rump. I've seen it a few times but haven't managed to get a photo yet as it scurries off into the shrubbery before I can get my camera out.
